Clinical Presentation
56-year-old former IV drug abuser with left lung transplant three years ago.
- 1Massive right lung hyperinflation shifting the anterior junction line deep into the left hemithorax.
- 2Diffuse fine micronodular opacities ('starry night' appearance) in the native right lung.
- 3CT confirms severe panlobular emphysema and diffuse centrilobular micronodules without frankly enlarged lymph nodes.
- 4Massively enlarged main pulmonary artery truncating rapidly, diagnostic of pulmonary hypertension.
