Clinical Presentation
Shortness of breath on exertion.
- 1Grossly enlarged main and central pulmonary arteries on radiograph.
- 2Rapid tapering of these vessels distally ('peripheral pruning'), creating oligemic lung fields.
- 3Global cardiomegaly, predominantly right-sided chamber enlargement due to cor pulmonale.
- 4CT confirms the main pulmonary artery exceeds the aorta in diameter (>29mm).
